Luzerne Borough Monthly Council Meeting – Wednesday, October 14, 2026, 6:30 p.m.

All meetings are open to the public.

COLUMBUS DAY SCHEDULE

Luzerne Borough DPW will be CLOSED Monday, October 12, 2026, in recognition of Columbus Day. Will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Due to Holiday YARD WASTE will be picked up on Tuesday the 13^th.

LEAF PICK UP

Starting Monday October 19, 2026, leaf pick up will start along with Yard Waste.

** PAPER BAGS & OPEN CONTAINERS ONLY, NO PLASTIC BAGS WILL BE TAKEN**

Starting Wednesday October 21,2026 the Leaf Vac will start.

2026 YARD WASTE – Yard Waste Stickers are now on sale at Gerrity’s in Luzerne for the cost of $30.00. Sticker is NOT VALID until the completed stub is dropped off at the Borough Building, 144 Academy St, Luzerne, Pa. Stubs can be dropped off in the mail slot.

YARD WASTE pickup will start Monday, March 30, 2026
